Title: How to remove the icon from the dock?
Post by: blendthefrog on January 11, 2015, 07:03:35 PM
I have suggested to the TV devs many times that they include an option in the full version to allow the app to operate fully from the menu bar and not have to have a dock icon.  But, it seems it hasn't happened yet.

It used to be that you could add a simple key in the info.plist of an app and it would remove it from the dock:

Quote
<key>LSUIElement</key>
<true/>

This worked for TV up until version 10.  Now if I put that in, the app won't run.  Does anyone know of another way to have the full version of TV run without having to have the dock icon always up?

TV needs to address this.  It is an issue for many OS X users.  Keep it alive.
