Teamviewer for Windows / Re: "Not ready. Please check your connection."

Solved! I installed Malwarebytes, ran a scan, and quarantined the 72 'threats' that were found. Restarted the computer, and not only does TeamViewer work now, I've also been able to update other programs (Skype, Acrobat Reader, Chrome) that I hadn't been able to update before.

Teamviewer for Windows / "Not ready. Please check your connection."
« Last post by era043 on November 30, 2017, 12:03:16 PM »
TeamViewer 13 is working fine on desktop computer (hard-wired to internet) and Toshiba laptop (wireless), but not on Acer laptop (wireless). TeamViewer used  to work on the Acer months ago (it's is an elderly neighbor's computer), but then vanished from my list of partners. I didn't think anything of it when it happened, because I figured the woman just wasn't turning her computer on as often. She's brought her laptop over to my house for me to try troubleshooting, but I get the same message on her laptop here that she was getting at her house (Not ready. Please check your connection.)

There is no problem with the Acer connecting to the internet. I'm able to browse, download email/attachments, and when there was an older version of TeamViewer installed, TeamViewer itself said there was a newer version, and it went ahead and updated itself to version 13.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TeamViewer - versions 13, 12, and 8 (I saw version 8 mentioned by someone else who was having this problem, for whom the older version successfully got rid of the "Not ready" message). No luck.

Firewall on the Acer is set to allow TeamViewer. Antivirus is Panda, but even if I turn it off temporarily, I still get the "check your connection" message.

I'm moderately computer-savvy, but I do not know anything about hosts, which I've seen mentioned in other similar threads. Would anyone be able/willing to help me try to resolve this?

Thank you!

Teamviewer for Windows / Re: List of recent sessions

For me it would be good enough when the list could be kept collapsed an not get expanded every time I open up the UI.

Teamviewer for Mac/iPad/iPhone / Re: How to remove the icon from the dock?

Long thread here on same request: http://teamviewerforums.com/index.php?topic=2080.0

Agree with everyone! The persistent Teamviewer icon in the dock is unnecessary and duplicative, as the program is already represented in the menu bar(system tray).

Hey @TeamViewer, yall should *at least* add an option to hide the persistent dock icon, "app running dot" and all >:(
, though prefereably, just show the icon in the menu bar like other non greedy daemons ;)

Teamviewer for Windows / trusted devices?
« Last post by Danl on November 07, 2017, 10:47:16 PM »
So I'm trying to use Teamviewer on a new computer, and trying to sign in so I get "My Computers" listed like I have on all my other machines. I get a message "Please check your inbox for the mail we sent you and follow the provided link. We could not verify if your account has been used on this device before. To sign on this device you need to add it to your trusted devices." But, um, I never get an e-mail. Never. What's going on? How do I make a device trusted, if I can't get the e-mail they say they're going to send me?

Teamviewer for Android / Android TV Box - Teamviewer Host and Unattened access
« Last post by leotzian on November 07, 2017, 03:21:25 AM »
Hi to all this is my first post in this forum I want to ask something.
I have a Beelink GT1 Ultimate TV box I had installed Teamviewer Host app and I want to remote control it from my PC with unattended access.
I am running the app  in my windows PC and I assigned to my TV box my account.
I can remote control My TV box ( unatended access from my Windows PC ) with no problems.
I want to ask, I am using free licence, I had installed in my Tablet the TeamViewer app, I had logged with my account, I see the TV box online but I cannot remote control it from the tablet, I have connecting......  but nothing happens.
Is this because the Host in my TV box is assigned to my PC?
I can remote control it if I install in my TV box both Host and QuickSupport app.
Is there a way to using in both devices using only the host app?
