Title: Teamviewer works until user logs out
Post by: scooper on May 19, 2016, 08:44:11 AM
Hi,
I have TV set to run in the background on my MacMini, and used to be able to remotely reboot my Mac and then connect once it had rebooted.

Now what happens is - TV indicates that the MacMini is 'back up' (green icon) but when I try to connect I get "Protocol Error".

If I get someone at home to login to the MacMini as me, I am then able to connect no problem.

Once I logout I am no longer able to re-connect.

This all started happening yesterday when I installed the latest OSX 11.5.0 security update - however I have another Mac at the house running all the same versions of OSX and TV and it works fine.

Any ideas?

Downgraded to version 10 and it works again.
Uninstalled and tried Version 11 - stops working.

So I'm now back on Version 10 and all working, and assuming must be a bug in Version 11.

Hi,

Having exactly the same problem with OSX.

Makes remote access impossible.

I complained to TeamViewer about this and got nowhere. They gave me a link that doesn't exist for Linux.

FWIW, I've noticed Linux clients work the same way. They cannot be connected to until someone logs in. I believe, but am not sure, that a security patch probably is the cause of this same behavior in OS X.

At any rate, if this is not solved in a couple of months, my subscription will be up for renewal, and I will be shopping around.
