Connect ok but can't control my Android tablet

I have an Android tablet made by bmxc from China.  It works well and when I run the TeamViewer quick support app I can connect to it ok but I can't control it.  I've tried from both a desktop PC and another Android tablet and in both cases when I click the mouse or tap on the screen a "hand" icon appears but nothing happens on the remote Android tablet.

I see there are many different TeamViewer add-ons for Android.  Is it possible that I need a specific add-on for my tablet?
