Suggestions / Re: Disable clipboard sync while in-session
« Last post by Bryan on October 17, 2017, 08:13:56 AM »
I'm another user who can't leave the clipboard synchronized without Excel crashing.  If I ever need to copy and paste anything between machines, I have to close Excel, close my TeamViewer connection, go into Extras --> Options -->Advanced Options and then enable clipboard synchronization, reopen TeamViewer, do my copy and paste, close TeamViewer, go back into the settings to turn off Clipboard synchronization and reopen TeamViewer again.   It's an incredible pain each and every time.

They need to either fix the issue where synchronization crashes Excel or make it easier to turn synchronization on and off.

I too have the same problem. It is incredibly annoying and it blocks my (remote) computer for quite some time and in all other running applications.

Are we two the only ones having this problem?

Help!

I too signed up in these forums specifically looking for a way to get rid of the icon in the dock.

LogMeIn doesn't do this.
Dropbox doesn't do this.
Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't do this.
LastPass doesn't do this.
many others do not do this

There is no valid reason for TeamViewer to appear in both the System Tray (above) and in the Dock

This needs to be fixed and it is amazing that this has been a noted bug for years!

I have one remote computer that keeps giving me this stupid screen:

The only way I can connect is via remote desktop connection but this isn't convenient at all.

Any ideas anyone? Many thanks

Teamviewer for Windows / Install Teamviewer for a single account
« Last post by masonbogie on October 15, 2017, 12:22:40 AM »
Can Teamviewer 12 be installed for just one account?  Windows 10

Setting up a new machine for a friend, and there will be 2 users with passwords.

My friend is one user on the computer, and is computer literate.  As for the other user, a candy bar is more literate than he is.  We do not want him to see Teamviewer in all the normal places, such as the Start Menu.

So we want to try to "hide" it from him as much as possible to keep him from getting into trouble.

Thanks.

Teamviewer for Mac/iPad/iPhone / Apple Pencil Support and iPad Pro resolution
« Last post by Pewit on October 10, 2017, 07:59:21 PM »
I’m using an iPad Pro with the 12.9” screen in Landscape format (I also use a Logitech keyboard with it) to remotely access my Windows 7 desktop with a wide screen which I can view best at native 1920x1080 resolution (rather than the best fit which Team Viewer defaults to).

1. Is it possible to set up parameters for this connection so it doesn’t keep defaulting to the best fit display?

2. I also have an Apple Pencil which is really good for selecting small scrollbars etc at this resolution but if I tap with the Pencil there is no remote reaction. Could Team Viewer support the Apple Pencil input?

Teamviewer for Linux / Help Installing TeamViewer 12 in debian 9 linux
« Last post by wkhan69 on October 06, 2017, 06:42:17 PM »
Hi,
Newbie here.  I'm trying to install teamview 12 in my debian 9 linux on an old laptop.
I downloaded the package teamview_12xxx_i386.deb

I did (as root):
Code: [Select]
apt install ./teamview_12xxx_i386.deb
Here are the errors:
Code: [Select]

Suggestions / Re: Add "LAN" conenctions to contact list
« Last post by micsak on September 30, 2017, 11:08:47 AM »
I agree with you but there is another feature in Teamviewer (I'm using 11) which is enough convenient.

Go to button with add contact and click on the arrow to see available options. The last option is "Nearby contacts and devices"
Wait for few seconds and you will see available devices in the LAN.
Click on the arrow of device you like and click the option you want: Remote control using password or the others
