Title: Reboot in Safe Mode
Post by: Lery on April 11, 2011, 02:44:54 PM
Hello.  I am just looking to confirm product behavior.  If a client does not install Teamviewer, but goes to www.teamviewer.com and clicks on the Join Session link.  This will then download the small application they can run without installing anything.  This gives them a session ID and password that they then give to me.  Once I am connected, I have the option of Actions Remote Reboot > reboot in safe mode.

The problem is if the client is using this smaller program.  It seems as if the program options for Security, start Teamviewer with Windows Logon (not sure of the exact setting), is not available.  Therefore, is it a wise to assume that the only way to set this option is if the client downloads and installs the full Teamviewer package?

This leaves me unable to connect back to the machine after it reboots into safe mode.

All of the above applies to regular reboot as well.

Though ive not had a direct experience it makes sense to me that in order to be able to reboot and still have access the Teamviewer client must be installed on the remote machine.

I would set windows log-on to "allow all"
