External Firewire Camcorder not Recognized in TeamViewer

With TV9 and Ubuntu Linux 12.04 I can't get TV9 to recognize the incoming stream from an external firewire camcorder. I can capture the live video (and audio) with dvgrab, so I know the camcorder and connection are working. Does TeamViewer for Linux have any support for firewire or am I wasting my time trying to get this to work?
