keyboard on connected Mac not working

I have one old PPC mac with a database I use at work that is running mac ox 10.4.11 and TW 7.0.11991.  This has been working all along, and I easily connect via macs running TW9 and TW11, including Ipad.  I recently did a clean install of TW on the PPC, and now there is no input from host keyboard.  Mouse clicks work, but cannot type at all.  Typing any letter brings up the teamviewer connect screen, but also will allow no typing.  This all worked previously.  Suggestions?
