"Hey, I’ve been using TeamViewer for work, but lately I’ve been wondering—could it also help me find someone nearby for a casual meetup? Any tips on balancing remote work with a little fun?"

AGAIN..

I have installed the KDE Standard version and while the Wayland error notice has now gone, the TeamViewer problem still exists.

I have given up.

Replying to myself.

In Ubuntu TeamViewer I read a notification referring to this..
https://community.teamviewer.com/English/discussion/122410/teamviewer-support-on-wayland-experimental-state-%F0%9F%A7%AA/

There seems to be a problem with the Wayland and it looks like I have to swap to a KDE desktop system. I am not a proficient in Ubuntu - this being the first install in years.

It looks like I have some studying to do.

I am using a fresh install of Ubuntu Desktop v26.04 LTS on a MacBook Air 2017. Windows 10 with ESU and up to date on my main PC with TeamViewer v15.74.5.

I can connect to the MacBook Air's Ubuntu TeamViewer but nothing works. My symptoms are as described for the original poster I am replying to now.

It is very disappointing to not see any replies to this problem. It is very confusing.
