Title: Two questions about v.5.1.9385
Post by: Ray_moe on November 07, 2010, 11:37:55 AM
I have the lastest version installed on my computer and on a partners computer.

I want to know how do I properly disconnect from the partners computer after a session. Everytime I disconnect my partner has to reboot there computer so I can reconnect.

I am showing to be connected to a partner but I am not seeing their desktop so that I can remotely perform changes to their computer.

Seems like anything I do to disconnect only created a problem when trying to reconnect.

Using teamviewer with windows and preset password.

All suggested fixes will be appreciated.

I use the red X  at the left of the actions toolbar that appears at the top of the remote system to disconnect.

When you connect, look at the actions tool bar across the top and click on the far right:   EXTRAS then "Connection info"
what appears in that box, everything should be set to "allowed" for full access.
To chnage these setting click on the teamviewer icon in the system tray to bring up the teamviewer window, click on EXTRAS then options under the security tab look for "rules for connections to this computer" and access control, make sure it is set to "full access"
Also make sure that under "permanent password for unattended access" that windows logon is set to "allowed for all users"

Ers
Thanks for the reply

I used the red  x in the actions bar to end a session.

Now I cannot get the partners desktop. It says I am connected and then after a while it disconnects. The  desktop never shows on my desktop.

It connected as a partner for a number of time and then just quite.

All the areas you suggested were and are checked.

Is there a certain way the partner has to have there desktop active. In other words does it have to be at the desktop.

Does each partner have to have the same version

What operating system are you guys running?

Are you both using the free version or is this a paid license?

I'm assuming you both are running the full versions. Yes, the TeamViewer program has to be running on both ends in order to communicate. The program doesn't have to be running on the desktop, just make sure you see the icon down at the Notification Tray.

No.
