Title: Can't see other network through VPN

I have a pretty simple case, I want to connect to a work network from home.  I installed Teamviewer on my work PC and my home PC. 

However, I can't ping past the work PC.  I tried installing routes on the home PC ('route add' command).  I can ping to the public IP assigned to the work PC (7.x.x.x.), but I can't ping into the private network (I did check to ensure that the home private network and work private network are not the same).  I can share files, print, etc.  But I can't get to the internal webserver at work.  So frustrating.  Any advice?
