I can successfully access a remote computer without someone on the other end running a program or giving manual access, but TeamViewer must be running on the remote PC and the remote PC must be awake. If the remote computer goes to sleep thus shutting down the cpu and hard drive fans, I cannot connect. It stands to reason that TeamViewer will no longer be running on the sleeping PC, therefore, no access. I would like to verify that this is the case and check whether TeamViewer has an option to wake up a remote HP Pavilion computer that has OS Windows 7?

Ive run int o this issue and have resolved it simply by changing the settings of the remote system so it doesn't sleep.
Not sure if there is another solution.

Thanks ERS. That is what I am doing, but have not come to terms with leaving the PC awake for extended periods yet. Still wondering if there is an option that I am overlooking while I decide to make the never sleep option permanen.t
