Title: Connecting FROM XP sp3 TO W7 SP1 solved (in home network)

If Teamviewer won't cooperate, try the following (working in XP !):  Start > Run > cmd > ping [address of target computer]

The Teamviewer Window becomes active and I can now enter the target's address and connect.   This works every time for me  ;D
