Title: Lan Access exclusively and Partner list online status?

I have several friends and family I help via internet and those show online status via host mode just fine but my local Lan hosts never show as "online" if I have them set to Lan access exclusively. (I have no need to access these via internet). Shouldn't they still show me their online status unless I've set them to hide it, since I'm in their white lists?

Interesting question - my guess "Online" means available on the internet rather than just available on the LAN (technically not online) ...
