Hello,
running TV v. 6.0.10194 (under WinXP), I am offered updates to v. 6.0.13992 or v. 7.0.15723.
In both cases, after clicking the respective button, I get "An error occurred... check log file..."
The log says:
G0 ChangeThreadDesktop(): SetThreadDesktop to default successful
G0! InetDownload.ThreadRun: InternetErrorDlg error 6
G0!! CTVUpdate - CInetDownload::ThreadRun - ErrorSendRequest 12039, Errorcode=12039
Where can I find an explanation of the precise meaning for this code?
And yes, I have googled www-wide, and searched on this forum. But updates generally seem not to be much of an issue. :)
Strangely enough, on another machine (same WinXP, same LAN, i.e. behind same router to Internet), the update from a version 5 TV (can't see the precise number any more) to v.7.0.15723 went through without any problem. ;D

I would uninstall TV using revo uninstaller or the windows uninstaller, then download and installl the latest TV form the website.
