Title: Question about security
Post by: dvjorge on December 11, 2012, 10:03:22 PM
Hi all,
A friend who fixes computer accessed my PC using TeamViewer. He instructed me to download and run the application, but don't install it. He asked me for the User ID and password, and accessed my computer from his home.

I am worried if it can be done anytime using the same User ID and password ??? If yes, is there a way to block this access ??. I am able to allow a temporary access to my computer for service reasons but I won't like that the technician can access anytime without my permission.

Please, do someone can clarify me about it ??

Thanks a lot.

George.

Not to worry, each session generates a new random password

Teamviewer generates a random password every time you run it in your instance and the old password becomes useless.
