Title: Teamviewer "initialising" but not actually connecting. XP SP3
Post by: Gangel on March 26, 2013, 10:42:30 PM
Hi ppls :)_

I'm a new private user moving from logmein to Teamviewer and so far i love it, however one o fmy computers isnt working with it.
2 x windows 7 are great, 1 x XP SP3 is not working

It installs (same as others) but when the main window comes up, i just get "Initializing security settings" and it never gets to be connected with a green light...
I cant even log in to "my computers" in the right hand side panel, it just doesnt log in.. no errors, just nothing!

Windows firewall is OFF and it is running AVG 2012 - just antivirus, no firewall.

I did a search before and turned off "safe surfing" or something that AVG has as that is supposed to cause issues with TV but still no luck :S

Any idea how i can find what is blocking this one connection?

On a side note:  I can actually see the login screen for the computer, but if it put password in, it just doesnt log in... its like im being blocked INSIDE the user of windows, but i can actually get the login screen!  Very weird....

:) Thanks for reading :)

You may want to sumbit a support ticket directly:
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/help/createticket.aspx
then post back with the resolution.
