i installed TeamViewer 8
windows xp pro
got message
~ bad install
i tried all the usual stuff ( uninstall reboot install no go, remove entries C:\program files reinstall reboot etc )
still no go
help please

Did you install from the physical machine, or were you remotely connected to the machine via some other means (eg RDP)?
We you logged on as an administrator when you installed?

i installed from teamviewer web site unsuccessfully.
i uninstalled.
i reinstall still no go
rebooted
tried to install safe mode
no go
i checked c:\program files
ver 7 and ver 8 were still there
i deleted as many as possible, but got error message
Cannot delete TeamViewer_Service: Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.
help please

i installed from c:\temp of this pc
i was logged on as an administrator when i installed
i get error message
Critical Error Verification of your TeamViewer version failed
TeamViewer will quit for security reasons. Please reinstall TeamViewer.

I'd delete the local copy that you have and download a new copy and try the install again

i followed your instructions but still no go.
same error message ~
critical error. t.v. will exit
google > german post says need verisign certificate which i downloaded but cannot figure out how to install it.
