Title: TV Paranoia
Post by: arya101 on August 22, 2013, 09:30:10 PM
I gave this guy my PW and ID for TeamViewer to install something on my computer because I didn't know how to do it. I don't know him, he's from a forum and was helping me out. I saw what he was doing and nothing major happened. He just logged into my computer, did what I asked him to and went off. Now, I'm being a little paranoid and am a bit freaked. I gave him my PW and ID so I'm thinking he can get in anytime. Is that really the case?

so long as you gave him the randomly password that is randomly generated by Teamviewer you should be fine as that changes.
To be sure he did not add his own password , you can check teamviewer/
double-click the teamviewer icon
click EXTRAS/OPTIONS then click the word security in the left hand pane.
then look at the section that says "Personal Password( for unattended access), make sure those boxes are clear, (OR create you own password) and then clcik OK at the bottom of the box.
You should be fine.
