Title: Cannot see windows media center

I am connecting Win 7 to Win 8.1.  Media center is on the 8.1 machine and when launched my screen goes black. If I go to the 8.1 machine and set Media Center to be a window on the desktop then it is viewable.  Any ideas how to view it full screen?
