Whenever I use TeamViewer to remote connect to a Windows box, the desktop background slideshow is disabled. That's how I want it, of course, during the remote session. The hassle/problem is that back on the local session I have to re-enable the slideshow. Since one of my computers is connected to a plasma display, it's particularly important that I always remember to re-enable this.
Is there a way to have TeamViewer use a black background without disabling the slideshow for future local sessions?

Old thread but on my systems TeamViewer keeps the desktop background disabled even when no session is connected.
Also, I can't re-set the background, even when TeamViewer isn't running at all! (am I crazy?) When setting the background, it appears to work and then it drops off as soon as the Windows Personalize dialog is closed. I've got teamviewer exited and the service stopped. This is Windows 8.

use an uninstaller like revo uninstaller(free version http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html (http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html)) and remove teamviewer completely then reinstall the latest version and see if the issue continues.

I have same problem, uninstalling and reinstalling made no difference

I have been using Teamviewer for a long time and this seems to be a new occurrence for me in version 9.
When I connect to my remote computer the desktop background on the remote computer is disabled, this is working as intended. However after I close the remote session the background on that computer continues to be disabled and the only way to bring it back is to either restart the machine or go to the desktop, right-click and select personalize, then re-select my desktop theme.
