I downloaded the full version of Teamviewer 9 and installed it on my home and work computers. While home, I goto login.teamviewer.com, login, and it shows in my computers the work computer. I click on connect and a box comes up. 1 says Download and Install (which I already did). 2 says TeamViewer is installed -> Connect now. When I click the connect now link, the following error comes up in alert box:
The address wasn't understood
Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (teamviewer8) isn't associated with any program.
You might need to install other software to open this address.
The address in the URL is (I changed the email to xxx):
teamviewer8://remotecontrol?connectcc=107169656&username=xxx@gmail.com&logintoken=YGO21OIwRtMiokai17DSQyam1mIDZYaD7AqCXx4wYAITrjpZTO6c8XOmmXuf9BL2tk0QxEvynJJaaGSp6ulYSzPdRhFw0s1S&tokenid=189139935
The only way I can connect is with the web client, and there is no full screen option and I don't see anyway to print remotely to my home computer. Any help would be much appreciated! I have been going back and forth with a support ticket, but it takes days between each interaction. The last things they said was to send them both log files, which I did, and then to change a setting to Always ask in the firefox applications tab, but there is no teamviewer listed there to change.
Thanks

Check your windows file associations

Thanks for the response, but could you be a little more specific. What exactly am I checking for, and how would I fix the problem?
Thanks

Actually just re-reading
It seems that you are looking for a TV8 link, not a TV9 link
Are you sure that you have the same version of Teamviewer installed as you are downloading?
If yes, then I think if you install both TV8 and TV9 then this would work for you. I believe that both versions can co-exist, although the new one would normally remove the old one first.
