Hi,
Dell Inspiron Win7 PC
Dell Venue 8 Android Tablet
Your issue with TeamViewer surprises me because it's exactly the reason I switched (just yesterday) from my previously installed Remote Desktop (dare I mention the name? It's initials are Splashtop2) to TeamViewer. For reasons I was unable to determine, Splashtop just would not stay connected...causing me to reconnect every couple/few minutes.
I am NOT having this disconnect issue with TeamViewer after installing TeamViewer9 on my Win7 PC and using my Dell Venue 8 Android Tablet (TeamViewer For Remote Control App installed) to connect to the PC. As a test, following installation, I let the connection continue for many hours and enjoyed NO interruptions or disconnects whatsoever.
I have a high confidence level that TeamViewer will be giving me continued, uninterrupted performance going forward, but as I said, it's only been one day since installation, but so far, I couldn't be more pleased with TeamViewer and just registered in this Forum to try and learn more about its features and see how other users (like yourself) feel about TeamViewer, pro and con.
I might suggest (as with any problematic program we install) you do a clean uninstall/reboot of your present TeamViewer and then reinstall it and see if that improves your situation. If not, come back here where I'm sure others much more knowledgeable than I with troubleshooting TeamViewer can add their expertise and help you with your dilemma.
:)
