Title: Initializing Display Parameter
Post by: Ashima on July 03, 2014, 03:24:14 AM
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 Lts in my office and win 7 at my home laptop.

Running Teamviewer 9 in both of them.
When I try to connect from win 7 home machine to ubuntu office machine, it asks for password and then says "initializing display parameter" and then disconnect. What should I do ?

On my ubuntu machine it says incoming session when I run teamviewer in win 7 laptop.

Surprisingly I am able to connect from ubuntu to win 7 using teamviewer but not other way round.

Please help
regards
Ashima

Well you can make a work around, just attach an unused vga cable to the vga port of your computer.

Hope this help...

I am experiencing the same issue.

I am running Ubuntu 14.04 with TV10 and am using a DVI cable connected to a TV however the TV is not always on.

Did connecting an unused vga cable fix this?

I find hard to believe this isn't a more common problem around here and warrant more activity.
