Title: remote print trouble - can't get print driver 'via team viewer' to show up
Post by: mikeydchicago on July 17, 2014, 07:00:32 PM
I am connecting a win7 pc to a winxp pc.  I have the winxp setup as an unattended client (in fact it has not monitor or keyboard).  The unattended winxp pc boots up and logs on without a problem.  I can remote connect with my win7 pc and turn on remote printing but can't see printers (via team viewer) on win7 machine.  I want to use an older laser printer attached to the winxp pc on my win7 pc.  fyi - the winxp pc shows the printers connected to the win7 pc with the 'via team viewer' extension.

am I doing something wrong?

thanks for your help.
Mike

So you want to print to a remote printer??

Perhaps try the VPN back your WIn CP machine

wouldn't team viewer's remote print feature work better (& easier).  Assuming I can get it to work.
