Title: Special Characters not passed through. Xubuntu 14.04

Teamviewer version 9 will not pass any special characters through from an iOS device(ex: !@#.,)only alphanumeric characters are passed through. From a Windows PC, special characters above numbers will get passed through but not others( ex: ./\,). Not inside of a VM and I've tried reinstalling

Anyone else running into this?
