Title: Hide top and side tabs

Is there a way to hide the little tabs that appear on the top and left edges of the screen?

I sometimes use teamviewer to access my mac when away from home but the family use it to watch movies via Plex and the tabs are distracting for them.

The small tabs aren't too intrusive but if I need to restart the mac the bigger pop up appears which I have to minimise remotely.

Anyone able to assist with this? Maybe some one from the development team? Seams like a function that would be easy to implement.
