Title: Teamviewer on Windows Server 2012, not transmitting desktop view.
Post by: OtherSide on December 12, 2014, 05:14:36 AM
I installed Teamviewer 10 on a Windows Server 2012 machine, set it to autostart with windows in the options, setup unattended access with my password.

But when connecting from my other PC I'm getting that dreaded error message about "fast user switching or minimized RDP connection" and the screen is black. Only *while* someone is connected by RDP, I can see the desktop, when the RDP connection closes I'm in the dark again.

I went into services and set the teamviewer service to have access to the desktop, too, no change. The other operations seem to be working fine, for example file management. I played around with the settings, too, for example I tried setting the allowed users to administrators-only, it was None previously.

TeamViewer cannot capture a disconnected RDP session. That's a technical limitation of Windows. If you have a disconnected RDP session where TeamViewer is still running, you need to connect to it using RDP and close TeamViewer or log off that user. Alternatively you can enable multi-user support in the TeamViewer options and use the server ID to connect to it.
