Title: Logging In With \\Computername

As well as logging in locally - over a LAN - with a nine-digit Tv identity number or an IP address, apparently it's possible to log in using a UNC name like \\Computername.
I've had success using the former two, not accessing the internet, not logging in to my Tv account, but I've not succeeded in using \\Computername.
Anyone know the technique?

Perhaps a FQDN is what is needed
This is probably only going to work within a domain I'd suggest
