Title: Text selection cursor "I" not showing on remote desktops.
Post by: rdvenom on April 02, 2015, 08:06:09 AM
All my systems are using the latest version of Teamviewer, v10.0.40642, and recently I have an issue with the text selection cursor "I" not showing on remote desktops when I hover over text in any application.  All the other cursors seems to be working fine.  I'm able to fix this by clicking the "show remote cursor" option but I don't like how the remote cursor trials behind the local cursor and never had to do this until the last couple weeks.  Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?  Thanks!

What cursor and what operating system are you using on local and remote side? Also what color depth do you have set on the remote PCs monitor (I would recommend setting that to 32 bit if it isn't yet) and what is the DPI scaling factor for both sides? I know that this is sometimes a problem on other platforms (Mac/Android) but haven't seen it on Windows yet.

This is for Windows 7 systems.  It seem to only be a problem when I'm using the Windows Aero mouse pointers on the remote system.  If I change to any other pointer type besides Windows Aero on the remote system the select cursor shows up for fine.  It does this for all the systems I remote into so it's not anything with a specific computer.
