Title: Fix a problem in a remote problem, but privately
Post by: Frankie on May 16, 2015, 02:35:13 PM
Hi everyone!!!
I would want to know if it is possible to fix a software problem in a remote computer with TeamViewer, but privately.I mean, to fix the computer but knowing that the user doesn't know how I fixed the computer.
If I couldn't with TeamViewer...is there another solution?
Thank you very much.

Look at the "Actions" menu  You need to "Disable Remote Input" first, then "Show black screen" will be enabled and you can select it.

The first time you use this feature, TeamViewer will want to install a display driver.

In the Windows App:

Hi again and sorry.More questions about this:
If the user wants to desactivate the black screen and see what I'm doing.Could he do that?
Must the driver be installed in both computers?
Thanks

Driver is only install on remote computer

No this can't be over ridden once going. User may need to give permission to install initially

Note the meaning of 'Disable remote input', Frankie.
It means that the user of the remote computer loses control entirely while you're operating on it, and with 'Show black screen' activated, he can't see what you're doing, as you'd expect. The machine's yours until you let go.
Note also that if you want to leave the remote machine as pristine as possible, as I like doing, you don't have to install the remote screen driver. If you don't, Tv reverts to a default method of 'blacking' the screen; no extra screen driver involved.
(What the 'driver' does to my precious nVidia graphics drivers, I don't know, but that's for another thread elsewhere..)
