Title: Mouse Cursor Not Rendering Properly Mac Client Ubuntu Host

I'm having this problem where the mouse cursor appears as a smattering of pixels when I connect to my Ubuntu 14.04 machine using my Macbook Air. This problem doesn't occur when I use Windows as host (Mac client) or when I use Windows as the client (Ubuntu host). Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
