Title: Teamviewer on Amazon AWS (Win Serv 2012 R2) - losing connection with Windows VPN
Post by: tamasa on November 17, 2015, 06:28:01 AM
Hello

I have an Amazon AWS machine set up (Windows Server 2012 R2).
Teamviewer 10 is installed as remote access.
When I access this machine via Teamviewer and connect to a Windows  VPN I lose the connection instantly when it connects to VPN there.

When I do the same on a Windows 7 laptop instead of AWS machine, everything works fine.

I am not really network savvy, what can it be ?

Thank you

This is probably caused by the Amazon server being a virtual machine, not bare metal

Just for clarification: You connect the Amazon AWS to a VPN? And all Internet traffic will be routed through that VPN? I would say in that case it's normal that you lose the connection. If you can reconnect after enabling the VPN that's probably the best option. Otherwise you'll have to configure the VPN so that network traffic for TeamViewer isn't routed through that VPN.
