matt, just that doesnt work, exactly there it asks for the email address to log in - and thats the one i dont have.

Do you have a username that accesses the 'computers and contacts' section of your installed teamviewer?
You can use that username and password, it doesn't need to be an email address
-
It may also be in
Options >> Computers and contacts
-
matt, username / PW i tried (and i know it used to work this way
some time ago), but now it refuses it and asks for email addrss.
within options i can only find the code nbrs and name, but no email.
vicious circle ...

You should still be able to log in with username / pw without the email even if it asks for the email (at least in the Windows client). And if you are logged in your email should be displayed in the options under Computer & Contacts.

no idea why this works with others, but not with me, it keeps insisting for
an email addrss. i already said this: i remember this working before, but not
anymore - latest version (and on WIN7).
i took the easy way out, sorry: it was actually my wifes laptop, and i was the
only one to access it from the office and from trips when she was stuck. so i
simply installed a TW-host client completely new, set it up on her and my
side - and back were were where we came from, and what we needed.
it doesnt explain or solve the basic problem, but it did mine.
thanks for all that helped - heinz -
