Title: TeamViewer 11 Host not showing password
Post by: d3kk3r on April 04, 2016, 10:12:52 AM
Hi everyone,

I got a Corporate license and I want to deploy a custom TV Host to all the computers in the organization.
I created a customized host module with a set of policies, downloaded the msi e renamed the msi to get the defined policies.
After the installation, the host auto assignes the owner account who created the module and only shows the ID.
On the custom policy, I have set Secure password (6 characters) and always generate a new password.

We have a service desk team with several members and all of them need to access the computers.
How do I remove the auto account assignment and get the Host module to always prompt for a password?

Thanks!

Don't save the password in computers and contacts list

The Host version doesn't have computers and contacts list.

Here's what happens:

Bellow "Your ID" is missing the password field, and asks me for an account assignment and only that account can connect to the PC.
I don't want it to ask to assign a specific account, I just need to show the password so anyone can connect.

So this is NOT just for your team who all have a copy of the computers and contacts list?

Options >> Security >> Random Password >> don't pick disabled

You can still use the saved password, but this will also give a 'temporary password'

There are other settings that detail how frequently the 'temporary password' changes, in Advanced >> Random password after each session

I just found out the problem.

The Host module doesn't have a Personal Password defined in the Options > Security.

After I define a password, a new random password is generated.

Is there a msi PROPERTY value where I can define a default password?
