I have been using Teamviewer for a number of years but today it won't start (load, open) for me. I have tried uninstalling, both leaving prior settings and completely deleting all prior settings. Everytime I go through the installation process I get this message "The teamviewer service could not be started. The installation will be continued." I tried to initiate a Teamviewer Ticket but they are asking for my Teamviewer ID which, because I can't open the program, I can't find my Teamviewer ID. I think it has something to do with the Teamviewer Start Up process in Windows needs to be started/enabled but there is never a Teamviewer Startup Service that I can find. Of course, I am trying to help my brother with his computer which is located in a different country and I need to help him as soon as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

same problem will not start
V6 running on Win7
I tried opening as an administrator and logged in as each of 2 users
It shows as running in task manager using 6k of memory but nothing opens on the screen
I right clicked on the program icon /properties/details/ans it said date modified 25/1/2016 which I know nothing about.

Can y'all even view www.teamviewer.com ? It seems the entire site is down which would explain why you can't log in to the client. they have been offline all day and its very concerning.

Hmm. So it seems my university has blocked teamviewer completely as of today on the wifi. I have no idea why they would do that because I am 99% sure the staff and IT department uses it too.
