Title: Whats the Trick to Wake A iMac when asleep
Post by: mccltd on May 03, 2016, 10:43:47 PM
Hi,
I have tried all sorts to get Teamviewer to wake my Mac when trying to remote into it but with no avail.
Are they are clues as to the correct way to do it.
Its sitting behind an Asus router connected via wireless and cable.
Other than a robotic arm or wife to  move my mouse which does the trick.

I think if you want to connect to a machine via TV it needs to be un-asleep. In fact, that's true as well if you want to connect using OSX. So if you want to connect to a Mac that way, better get in SysPrefs/EnergySaver and tell it not to ever put the computer to sleep. Display sleep is OK. Not computer sleep. If you don't want to do that, better have someone there who can kick it awake.
