I just newly installed Windows 10 Pro on a new hard drive on my Dell OptiPlex 990, and am in the process of installing the software I use. I downloaded the latest version of Team Viewer and attempted to install it. All went well until it got to "TeamViewer_Service.exe". At that point, the installation hung ... wouldn't go any further. I tried installing several times with the same problem. I even turned off Windows Defender and ran the installer as Administrator. The installation never finishes. Any suggestions?

I had this problem last week. I tried th installation as both ordinary user and Run As Administrator but no luck. Tried to raise a support ticket but it requires you to enter a Teamviewer ID which - of course - I haven't got as the install doesn't work!

perhaps try downloading an installing and older version of teamviewer then and upgrading that installation:

Trid installing 10 first then 11 afterwards. 10 worked fine but 11 still hangs albeit in a different place - now on
"C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamViewer\TeamViewer.exe" --UninstallAPI --StartedByInstaller
I'm sure version 10 is fine although it does say 11 is optimised for Windows 10 which is what I'm using :(
