On one computer, I get the message in the subject whenever I try to log in. I tried uninstaling and reinstalling TeamViewer without any luck.
-
i need an answer for this problem too
is there a teamviewer manager or helper around?
-
I have this same issue suddenly. Only on my Windows 10 computer. The app on my Android tablet and IPhone works fine.
-
looks we are going to receive more requests for this problem.
I just checked in my lap Win8.1 and it has the same problem
I will have to check on the office tomorrow.
sad , this program ran so well. it still runs ok on my Samsung S5 luckily
one thing I would like to add is that the two computers with the problem updated themselves last Thursday (one Win10 the other Win8.1), may that be one cause? it was a very long update
again, any teamviewer manager or teck around to help us ? or we are alone in this?

I have the same problem when logging. My OS is Win7. I tried reinstalling TeamViewer but again the same mistake we are experiencing. :(
-
Same problem on a windows 10 PC. Windows 7 PC and LG tribute phone work fine. :(
Problem started today.
-
Same issue starting this morning. OS Win7
Anyone find a solution?

For what it's worth, here is what I just experienced...
Uninstalled TV then downloaded an older version of TV (v10). When I tried to log in, it said my account had been locked and needed to reset my password. Did that and voila! it worked just fine. No more "unspecified error" message. Hope that works for someone else.
-
Same here. I can't login on my Surface Pro 4 running Windows 10. My Android devices work.
-
Here's what worked for me
- I uninstalled / reinstalled TV 11 (may or may not have made a difference)
- But then I tried logging in to my web account (from TV website, click Login). It said my account was locked! I reset my password and life was good again
-
I did the same, I logged in at www.teamviewer.com and it said my account was locked. I reset the password. It then sent another email titled "Device authorization needed," I clicked the link to approve this device. Its in and working now.
-
WELL, HAPPY TO SAY THAT resetting my password solved the problem.
it seems that maybe, maybe, teamviewer has the same politics to mandatory password changing after a time
maybe not
but sure it fixed the problem. all my computers were there in the account and in the other account too
I strongly suggest to reset password

Solution:
**********
Mine has been like this for a while. Teamviewer has been locking accounts and the only solution is to go online and reset it. It's most likely a safety precaution to make us aware of the need to change passwords every so often, especially if they are shared between multiple accounts. If someone gets access to your teamviewer, they likely will have unrestricted access to your pc, which likely contains several more passwords and possibly bank account information.
Basically, reset your password and you'll be set.
Enjoy.

When I went to reset my password (which worked for me) Teamviewer had a message at the top that said they were requiring anyone who used a yahoo email address to reset their teamviewer password (I use yahoo)
-
To fix the unspecified error message, I went to www.teamviewer.com and attempted to log in there. A prompt appeared and told me my password was incorrect, so I clicked on forgot password and set my password to my previous password. I was able to set my password the same as before, but I do not know if that will work for you. Or you can decide to change it all together. Hope this solution works for you, as it did for me.

Same problem as everyone else - did TeamViewer get hacked and had to reset everyone's password? I changed my password and I already use 2 factor authentication for TeamViewer.
-
One of the previous replies said to go on the site and reset your password to fix it, this worked for me.

yeah, but they should at least modify the error message respond
you don't know what to do since the old password "works" enough to attempt to log, and the system logs you out with a senseless warning. you don't know what to do, but to come to forums where no TV assistant assist. I put a ticket via the webpage and they just sent me a mail asking me if the problem persists. kindly sent them to.... (you know) and a thanks for nothing line since nobody from them ever helped anyway (maybe because we are using the free version?)
thanks to all of you FOR YOUR ASSIST AND SHARING your knowledge
