Title: Automated Account Assignment MSI/GPO
Post by: rosselur on September 01, 2016, 04:44:12 AM
Have anyone figured out how to make the automated msi/gpo deployment with automatic account assignment to be completely automated/silent?
We have it working, but the initial Account Assignment prompts the user for permission, which is unacceptable.
Any input on this would be highly appreciated.

Hey rosselur,

I replied to your reply on my thread too, but it's better to continue the discussion here.

You should have a read of the MSI deployment manual. When you download the MSI from the website (https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/msi/) it will come with a manual.

Basically to remove the account assignment dialog box the computer has to be in a domain and you need to create a service connection point in Active Directory. I don't believe there's a way to do it without having AD.

I am running into the same issue. I have followed the guide and modified Active Directory to include our config IDs (there are two, production and test) but the installation still has a confirmation window after it completes to associated with our company account.

I have a support ticket open with TeamViewer about the issue but I haven't heard back yet.

rosselur, how did you handle the desktop shortcut being created or the prompt saying that Teamviewer is now running?
