Title: Windows update hoses Teamviewer??
Post by: Danl on September 14, 2016, 06:22:38 PM
I have a remote Windows 7 system that has chugged along for years under control via Teamviewer. But something strange happened today. Teamviewer was hosed, and when I finally got someone to come and look, the Windows 7 screen said that it needed to do some update. Huh? I thought it was set to update automatically. I have yet to actually do the update which will probably involve a restart, but what in the world happened? If you have a remote and largely inaccessible Win 7 system that you're running with Teamviewer, is the best strategy to Never Check for Updates, and just do updates in a manual fashion?
