Title: Why does TeamViewer log so many things even without being connected?
Post by: bammette on November 09, 2016, 02:31:04 AM
I am using TeamViewer 11 on my Windows 7 computer. I was looking through the log-files of TeamViewer and noticed something strange. TeamViewer keeps logs not only of what I do in remote sessions or incoming sessions, but it also keeps logs on what I am doing on my own computer whenever the program is running. The question: Does anybody know why TeamViewer is logging everything as standard? And if there is any security risk involved in it?

Important note: Beware I'm not asking how to disable TeamViewers logging, but I want to know what the reason is that this logging feature is implemented in TeamViewer. Note that it is enabled by default.

To look at your own log files open Teamviewer, press on the menu button extra's (second from the left) and click open log files.
