Teamviewer for Windows / Teamviewer disabling screen brightness controls

Latest Teamviewer 13 is disabling the screen brightness controls on my Dell XPS 13 notebook. I just uninstalled Teamviewer and my controls are back. What can I do about it? I want to use Teamviewer, but I need my screen brightness controls.

I know that this thread is a bit old but I'm having the very same problem with BV6000 devices: is there any chance there'll be a remote control addon for them?

My mate and I both have the same version of TeamViewer installed, he is using Win 10 and I am using Win 7.

What is confusing us both is why we both see a different GUI on our monitors.

Mine is attachment 1 and his is attachment 2, can anybody explain why we are seeing a different GUI on our monitors?

maybe use the same form to report and issue:

I have had Team Viewer for personal use for a year.  all of a suden it will not connect.  keeps thinking i have a proxy.  i do not.  i cannot access there community help page either.  its like im locked out???

please help it is very frustrating.
