trouble connecting to remote computer
« on: March 29, 2011, 07:16:43 PM »
i installed version 6 full version on a remote windows xp pro machine it is suposed to be set up to be in my buddy list so any time it is online i can just click on its name and it connects it was working that way for a few days but now it does not. it tryes to connect, when i click on the name of the computer in the buddylist it acts like it is going to connect, says "secure connection activated, all data traffic is encrypted" but the remote control window does not open or anything it just sits there till you click "abort connection" then it pops up the "buy a license box" manualy typing in the remote computers ID does not work either it never pops up asking for password.

i can have the remote person type in my teamviewer user/pass and connect to me then reverse it and get in that way but it is cumbersome

ive run in to this on occasion, many times it resolves itself, but make sure that the remote system is not set to go in to hibernation and also that the teamviewer security settings on the remote system allows windows logon for all users. Make sure the version is current on both systems as well.
