TeamViewer Failing to Connect to Server
« on: August 30, 2011, 08:13:41 AM »
As of this morning, non of my TeamViewers will connect, either to the server or to each other.

- Login :: When I try to log in to get to my partner list, I get "Sign In request failed!  The server did not respond. Please try again." both at work and at the house.
- Direct connect :: work to home machine 1 (across the internet) won't complete a connection.
- Direct connect :: home machine 1 to home machine 2 (across the internal lan) won't complete a connection.
- Web version :: attempt to log in to my username/password yields, "The server did not respond in the given time frame. Please try again later."
- Don't have a direct connect here in office so haven't tested that.

I am the sole admin on all of these machines and have changed nothing with firewalls, software firewalls, internet connections or TeamViewer settings.

I've looked at the logs and it says, "connect timedOut to: master3.teamviewer.com" with the server name obviously changed.  I am sometimes seeing a 10061 error attached, indicating a TCP error of some sort.

TeamViewer and Windows are set to not do updates without permission on all machines, so it is not a change in that regard.
I've rebooted my machine, had the wife reboot her machine and my home machine and no difference.

I would think there would have been more topics on it if they were, but are the servers just down?

I, too, am having connection issues this morning.

An update to 6.0.11052 has been available for days but I never downloaded it.  Yesterday late afternoon everything was working fine.  This morning I have been getting the "Check your proxy connections" error.

Nothing has changed with my network(s) that I know of.  But just to make sure, I tried the TeamViewer app on my iPhone and it would not connect.  I then disable WiFi on my iPhone and used 3G to try to connect - just to rule out any issue with our WiFi.  Again, no connection.

I forgot to mention that I then updated to 6.0.11052 wondering if that might be the problem.  No luck - still won't connect (thought now instead of getting the "Check your proxy settings error" I am not getting the generic "Cannot connect - reason unknown" error.

Scratch all that - everything is working fine as of right after posting that last post.

Thanks to whoever fixed it!

Great to hear its working out for others, though.
