TV is not able to connect online host from pc list
« on: September 06, 2011, 06:29:44 AM »
Hi everybody,
Since I updated TV to the last version 6.0.11052, I'm experiencing problems with connection in TV. Right now, I'm completely unable to connect from Win XP to Win 7. Both computers are 100% launched and online. Connection from Win 7 to WinXP seems to be functional, as i was connected on Monday about 0:30 a.m. GMT (I am in GMT+1) and it was after upgrading my home computer TV to last version. When I came to work, i experienced problems to connect so i perform an update also in work but problems persist. Mostly, I'm getting WaitForConnectFailed error. Sometimes, i receive only message, which is shown only when session is ended (i have free version, cause i use it for my personal usage only) but in fact, no session could be ended, because no session started.

Have someone some clue, how to get rid off it?

Here can be found TV log from today:

Edit: I forgot mention, that I installed no new application/firewall/antivirus or something. Everything (except TV) is same for few weeks with no change :)

Now, i'm finally connected from work. When I came home yesterday, i saw about 7 firewall messages about outgoing connection. It seems, that last version automatically changes port for every connection, so i just switched off UDP usage and connection is finally established. But I have new question, which port range TV uses? Because I need to allow them in firewall to be able establish connection everytime i'm not at home :)

Hello,
TeamViewer uses port 80 or alternatively you can open port 5938 (TCP) for outgoing connections (http://www.teamviewer.com/en/kb/10-Which-ports-does-TeamViewer-use.aspx).
