New here but
« on: April 08, 2012, 09:35:59 AM »
I am still trying to figure this all out but.. is it possible for me to log into on a friends computer and fix things for them if they are not there to give the password, Which I have a few friends that don't use passwords when their computers come on for that password..
Thanks.. as I said I am new and still trying to get this all sorted out..
I appreciate your help.

The bet thing to do is one time when you log on after they give you the password is to double click the teamviewer icon on their computer, in the teamviewer window that appears, click on the word "extras" at the top right then choose "options".
Another window will appear.
in the first window, put a checkmark in the box that says "start with windows"
then on the left click the word "security"
a different window will appear.
Here you can type in a password of your choosing( you will need to type it twice)
underneath that also use the drop down and change the windows logon to "allowed for all users".

click "ok" at the bottom right.

Now , whenever they are on the computer, teamviewer will start automatically and you can use the password you entered to log in.

I guess I didn't explain it very good but, am I able to turn their computer on from my computer at a different location.. which is a ways away..  and turn things on to work on it or do they need to be there to start it and do a password.
It isn't on their desktop.. when they downloaded it,  it is in their documents and when I help they go in that way and right click to start it up.
Thanks. Sorry for the confusion.
