Recently picked up a Win8 system, I use TV on 4 home PCs now:
1. XP PC used in the other room connected to LCD TV for online video,
2&3. 2 Win7 machines (wifes and gaming machine),
4. and now the Win8 system or work related stuff.
They all work just fine EXCEPT when attempting to connect TO the Win8 system. It repeatedly says invalid password whether I use the randomized TV remote control password or the one I set for the unattended access. Usually once out of every 5 tries it states it is connected on the Win8 system (on the Win8 classic desktop) using the random remote access, but it is not showing anything on the PC I am accessing it from as if it never connected.
Connecting FROM the Win8 system to any of the other 3 works normally, it is only connecting TO the Win8 system that is not working.
RPC is not enabled or in use, Windows Firewall already has an exception, Smartscreen is disabled... not sure what else to check since I never had a problem until Win8 came along.
