Start TeamViewer in system tray?
« on: February 19, 2013, 10:04:52 PM »
As much as I would like to download a program just to do this for me, I would rather have it as a feature in TeamViewer.

Is there a way to start TeamViewer so it is windowless, yet still running? Possibly starting it as a service so it doesn't need to keep open a window. Now, either I haven't searched hard enough on Google and in the config, or TeamViewer doesn't support this feature yet. So, can someone clear this up for me: Can TeamViewer start in system tray, or do I need to download a program?

Hi,
This is a built in feature, but for some reason the system tray icon does not show after first run. It looks like a bug and I am talking with Teamviewer support about this very issue at the moment. I will report back when they have had chance to examine the issue and supply a fix/workaround etc.

Best Regards
