Ending a Session
« on: June 09, 2013, 07:52:02 AM »
I'm using Team Viewer for the first time to help my daughter.  I've connected fine and all works well.  However, I do not know how to end or close the session.  Please help!

to end the session you have several options:
You can just click on the red X on the teamviewer window that was open and showed you daughters screen.
You will be disconnected( the screen will disappear) and on her end a popup will appear that says : this has been a remote session sponsored by teamviewer", she can just click "ok"
or
look for the action bar at the top of the remote screen, choose the word actions/remote reboot/reboot remote computer.
this will cause her computer to restart, forcing a disconnect of the session, you just need to close the window on your end.

If you want to be able to access her computer anytime without her help or if it reboots you need to set up teamviewer to start with windows:
Double click the teamviewer ICON either on her desktop or form the start menu, this will bring up a different teamviewer window that shows her ID and password.
near the top choose extras/options.
this will bring up a window
in the first screen look for "start teamviewer with windows" and make sure that option is check
marked.
now click the  security tab(word) on the left, new window will appear.
enter a password and confirm int he appropriate boxes.
in "windows logon", choose "allow for all users" this will allow you to choose any windows user when the computer boots up( you will need to know the passwords)
